From November 2017 to September 2019, res·o·nant, a conceptual light and sound installation by Mischa Kuball, pulsed throughout the architecture of the Libeskind building in the Jewish Museum Berlin.
This collection of more than thirty texts, which were originally published between 1790 and the present day, explores man’s rich relationship with material things. Devised largely in response to the gradual breakdown of the divide between art and design that began over a century ago, this book sheds light on the ways that the concept of the thing as idea has been considered over time.
Under Pressure gathers together the contributions to the same-titled conference held at the Institut für Kunstkritik from 2006–07. Starting from the premise that cultural producers are currently more exposed to external pressures, the conferences proposed that today these external constraints have to be considered as an integral part of artistic production.
