Agenda is an ongoing project by the German graphic designer Manuel Raeder. The project focuses on questioning different methods of how people organize, in a personal or non-personal way, their time. Formats, sizes and distribution systems vary each year. Two white papers are always sitting on top of publications from the past, and small details and close-ups are peaking through with the reflection of the sun on the books. Popurri comes with an extra long book mark.

The word “popurri” comes from the French “pot-pourri,” which was the name for a Spanish stew with a wide variety of ingredients called “olla podrida.” In English, “potpourri” is often used to refer to any collection of miscellaneous or diverse items.

In music this is a form of arrangement where the individual sections are simply juxtaposed with no strong connection or relationship, and organized by the principle of non-repetition. This is usually to be applied to a composition that consists of a string of favourite tunes, like a popurri based on either some popular opera, operetta, or a collection of songs, dances, etc.

Manuel Raeder lives and works in Berlin. He studied at the London College of Printing and has completed a post-graduate at the Jan van Eyck Akademie in Maastricht. His main focus lies in close collaborations with artists, designers, curators, theorists and musicians. His work has a wide range of formats from exhibitions, publications, type design to furniture design. Manuel Raeder has held workshops at the Ecole nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs, Paris, and the Hochschule für bildende Künste, Hamburg.
